The JROTC Mission is: to motivate young people to become better citizens. Through this concept, students will plan a project each year that impacts the community and their self awareness. Many projects are area improvement like cleaning up local parks, or public areas from the winter/fall, or areas just not being updated due to city funds and employees. In the end students plan, execute and then reflect on what they have accomplished and how it makes them and the community feel. With these shovels and rakes, it becomes one less worry on how to accomplish tasks when they have the equipment to do it and do it right. These shovels and rakes will be maintained and taken care of as if they were their own.
