These resources will ensure that students have access to a wide variety of diverse and inclusive texts. I want to ensure that my students have the ability to further their learning and foster a love of reading through our classroom library! Through these texts, students will be able to see not only themselves and their experiences, but other cultures, stories, and experiences. These texts will continue to develop my students' reading skills and widen their view of the world. Providing a well-rounded classroom library provides an escape for my students during these hard times. I would like these books to act as an escape from the emotional and social stress caused by COVID-19.
