As an educator, helping students develop a love for reading is a top priority. I hope that my students will fly kites in Korea, chase dogs through the hills of the Ozarks, and walk the halls of Hogwarts, all while turning the pages of a book. Reading opens the door to the world around us. It teaches us about days past and allows us to lose ourselves in the world of make-believe.
Having a variety of books ensures that even reluctant readers will find something that allows them to begin that journey.
"A book is a gift you can open again and again."
