The Covid 19 pandemic is having a huge impact on the education of K-12 learners. According to the office for Civil Rights, there is emerging evidence that shows that the pandemic has negatively affected academic growth specifically in areas such as math and reading. Current programs such as I-ready learning, Jamboard, Google classroom, and nearpod can help bridge this gap. However, when a student has low quality materials, such as headphones, these great learning tools are of little, to no, value.
The tools available to solve the regressing reading and math problems are available, but not affordable to teachers. Whether students are interacting with this technology at home, or at school, headphones will be a great way to help them be successful, and not have ongoing issues associated with poor technology.
