In my classroom, we use online resources to support lessons. Prior to the Covid Pandemic, we used a class set of headphones. I would like each student to have their own headphones to prevent cross contamination. Sf our classes go virtual, students will be able to take their headphones home to use during virtual learning. This will help them concentrate and block out other sounds in their home environment.
In order to keep students safe in the classroom and community, I am also requesting PPE items.
I would like to provide a KN95 masks for each student. We go out into the community (volunteering, UTA training, community access assignments, shopping) almost daily. I would like each student to have the best protection available to them.
The pandemic has affected students and families. With increasing grocery bills for families, I want to provide my students with snacks because I know many are unable to afford to bring a snack to school. Snacks would help our students remain focused during the day and give them the boost of energy to help with learning and volunteering!
I am requesting drawstring bags so students can keep their lunch, snacks, water bottles, and PPE and fidgets in a clean, safe place while in the classroom, out in the community or at home.
The social skills, life skills, job skills workbooks will help catch our students up to speed with transition skills.
