The students are writing an informational text about an animal of their choice. The text will be in an article format.
The purpose of the diorama is to have the students be excited and be engage in their learning. After they have finished researching about their animal, the diorama gives them a chance to apply what they have learned.
These materials will allow the students to build a more realistic habitat for their animal. Also, students can use their diorama to reference as they are presenting their informational text (article) to the class. This will tremendously help the audiences (other students) to gain a better insight of the animal's habitat.
