My project involves some key items that I see that my students are lacking in their learning in the COVID-19 time.
They need a thorough review from the grade before and extra support with reading skills so they can read fluently and accurately, and also so they can comprehend what they are reading.
They also present a need for math basic skills that were not covered during the time of remote learning and caused them to face a huge disparity in their current grade.
Last, but not least, I also would love it if my students had the chance to explore their social-emotional learning! We already have a good curriculum, but they still need tools to support their expression of feelings and how to handle emotions.
Although I do teach Reading, Math, and Science in a second language, I do believe that all of the requested items will support their learning of English too, especially the English Language Learners that need some visual or sensory support to scaffold language learning.
