COVID-19 had a huge impact on my students and their academic and emotional needs. These resources will provide engaging and exciting new ways to learn and motivate students!
First, math manipulatives will help students deepen their knowledge of multiplication, division, and fractions. These are difficult concepts taught in third grade, especially if there is already a deficit in learning. These manipulatives will give students the opportunity to use their hands to learn!
Second, my students need to learn to love reading, and providing fun/exciting books for them to pick from can do just that! I have selected books I know my students are interested in to motivate them to pick up a book and read!
Last, but certainly not least, there are many resources to help my students develop social and emotional skills. COVID has impacted their ability to manage their emotions, communicate effectively, and maintain grit when facing problems. These resources will help my students learn to work hard and not give up, as well as give them valuable tools in managing themselves responsibly.
