I need more literature that I can get students excited about. There's something about having books in our own classroom that makes reading more fun. Being able to have reading parties and sharing fun books with a friend makes reading an adventure.
The more opportunities I can give students to read the more I can increase fluency, accuracy and interest in reading! Despite my efforts to teach reading skills I cannot fully succeed without the ability to let students practice the skills they are learning. Having a leveled library will give me the opportunity to help students one on one and let them explore on their own.
