COVID-19 has decreased learning and socialization opportunities for my students. Many of them came to school with very little exposure to literacy materials, math manipulatives, and low social skills. Many students who might have otherwise gone to preschool did not have that opportunity due to COVID concerns.
Puzzles, games and literacy materials will help my students with motor skills, counting practice, literacy skills and socialization and make learning more fun and engaging. Base ten manipulatives will allow my students to have hands-on opportunities to increase math skills. Literacy materials will help them learn to read and write. A library center will be a fun area for them to learn to love reading and interact with each other in an informal setting.
