Due to Covid my first grade students have never experienced working in groups with their peers. The products that I have selected will be used for my students during Reading and Math centers. Center time is a time for students to collaborate with their peers on topics that have been discussed during whole-class discussions. The products that were selected will help give students opportunities to learn the curriculum in different ways. These tools will provide structure and support for students in their own groups, while I, as the teacher, will spend time with a different group of students to continue enhancing their learning. Students grow from small learning centers as it offers powerful learning opportunities for students, both academically and socially.
