With Covid and social, emotional, technological and academic needs it is more crucial than ever that I have a 1 to 1 Chromebook ratio in my classroom and books to start book clubs. I don't have enough computers for all my students to do schooling at school and home, AND socially and academically they NEED books for book clubs so they can interact positively with peers and practice reading comprehension. Right now, I only have a 2 to 1 ratio, my students are missing out on individual and group learning opportunities on some cool educational platforms. I also don't have enough computers to have my whole class take needed digital assessments, individual typing time for essays and more. Additionally, I don't have enough books to facilitate book clubs with my 6th graders, please help donate to this cause. My 6th Graders desperately need book clubs to practice talking, interacting and relating with peers socially and academically.
