My students are becoming published book authors, and we are creating the manuscript. My autistic student needs a place to sir that makes him feel safe. We create the five paragraph essay, and the illustration to go with it. Then, we finalize the project by gluing a wallet size photo of each student, and some photos from our class activities throughout the year, into the manuscript. We offer the parents the opportunity to purchase a copy. We don't make any profit from this. It is simply a keep sake for their 5th grade year.
