Ballet Folklorico dance utilizes similar dance steps used in American dance forms, but most are very particular to the culture and regions of Mexico. Students will be able to learn dance through the lens of their culture and others. This dance form allows students to explore a different Latin dance other than their country of origin.
Students will have the opportunity to perform this project/choreography in front of their peers at our annual Spring dance concert. Additionally, these materials will be used year after year to continue to share knowledge of cultural dance.
