As a virtual math teacher, most of my teaching is done through individualized videos for students. In order to show them how to do the work, I need to write out the problems, draw the geometric shapes to help them visualize, work out the problems, and then record what I am doing so they can see. I create videos that give instruction and sample problems.
Since each student is unique and may have a different question, having an iPad to use to write and explain is essential to teaching remotely. I have software programs that enable me to write just like I would on a whiteboard using different colors to emphasize parts of the problem to help them understand more clearly.
