In my daily teaching and students' learning, we are trying to explore all the intelligences that we have to support everyone's learning. With the help of all the flashcards, students can be introduced, guided to practice and review the vocabulary, engaged in whole-class or self-led activities, such as using the cards to do games, telling stories according to the cards they get and so on. Books and daily reading are important for 5th graders. Reading, writing paragraphs are required at this level. With the reinforcement of flash card games either in whole class, small group or individual learning, students can get ready anytime to read and write down comprehensible Chinese at any time. With new books either stories or culture, they can benefit more from daily reading and keep reading and learning zest as lifelong habit. Meanwhile, with the help of the materials in my project and thoughtful planning, students will get more involved and engaged. Because they see their friends are participating, having fun and getting rewarding experience. More encouragement from their peers will also scaffold each other to learn better, deeper at a higher level.
