Our school has close to nine hundred students ranging from Pre-K to 5th grade, along with Special Education classes. Our population is 98% Latino, and most of our students are bussed to our school. The majority of our students come from below-poverty households. Unfortunately, our students' day includes contact with gang members, drugs, and a lot of times home violence. Despite all these inconvenient facts, my students are eager to learn, and succeed! Unfortunatelly, due to COVID a lot of our families are having a hard time providing the basic needs. This is why I created this project, so that the act of buying a 5th grade teacher won't be a burden to my students' families.
