Flocabulary offers educational content through rap. This online tool is an incredible resource to help my students learn about important language arts concepts (punctuation, nouns, author's purpose), math (addition, place value), science (states of matter, force and motion, ecosystems), social studies (holidays, famous people, maps, regions in the United States), and social issues (how to deal with frustration, how to join a group). This resource covers it all! The students are engaged and are able to recall important information through the songs. They can participate in activities related to the songs and can even create their own rap! The students find Flocabulary to be vital to their daily routine with "brain breaks" which often feature Flocabulary videos. Students will request certain videos when they are struggling with a concept.
