A critical part of AFJROTC is extra-curricular involvement. We have several clubs and teams available to all cadets. We are trying to start up more STEM-related clubs like model rockets and drones. Many cadets are interested in drones: building them, flying them and using them for different projects (like taking videos and pictures). They will have to work together to build the drones and find ways to utilize the film for different cadet activities. Drones will help cadets become interested in tech related fields and learn about teamwork, planning and responsibility. These drone kits can be rebuilt, so it will help multiple cadets. This will be a cadet-led program (with teacher supervision); this enables cadets to learn to lead others, plus set and achieve goals.
