I have had several students absent from school for weeks because of Covid. Many have not attended school because of allergies, flu symptoms or sinus infections.
It is amazing how missing school for one week can have a major impact on a child's education. I am involved with parent teacher conferences this week. I was speaking with a mother about a particular assessment. Her child had been absent the previous week the skill for the test was taught. He happened to come back the day of the assessment and did not perform very well. Of course, I will try my best to catch this student up, but it is a lot easier on the student and for the teacher to just have them well and in class.
Please help our cause; I would love healthy kids so they are able to attend school. I know a purifier can help the quality of the air in our classroom. Thanks!
