There has never been a greater need for diversity and flexibility in the modern-day classroom. Material needs have multiplied to allow for spacing, cleanliness, and individual access in and out of the classroom. However, the school shut-downs and constant quarantine needs have disrupted the normal depth of learning for several students. To counter the effects of the time, I submit this request for resources that will support my students academically, and maintain a comfortable, safe classroom environment. Our classroom library is in desperate need of updated reading material with more diversity when it comes to reading levels, genres, and student interests. All books are librarian-approved and student-requested series, both in literature and information text, that will help my kids connect with books and maintain interest through multiple stories. This request also includes items our kids use everyday, like dry-erase markers, and math games to build flexible number sense. durable, Additionally, flexible seating options like wobble chairs will help work with small groups comfortably and meet the individual focus needs of my students.
