These STEM will help the kids get excited about school and prepare them for the future. Because many of the STEM activities are hands on, even the lowest of students can feel a sense of accomplishment. They will be able to say "I can do it!"
STEM activities are fun and exciting and it is a great way for kids to learn. They don't feel like it is work. STEM activities are thought provoking, problem solving, solution driven activities that can be combined with other subjects in the curriculum.
Students often want to do more and explore things further, making them think and extend what they were taught. Often times students will go home and share the stem activities they learned with their family or start researching for more activities on their own. If we were to go back to online learning, students would be able to access these activities easily and they would be eager to know what they were going to learn the next day.
With so many jobs requiring the use of science, technology, engineering, and math, it is important that students are exposed to the type of activities and learning that prepares them for the future. I want to integrate these activities across the curriculum and make school a place the students want to be.
