Students have come back from being in school to not being in school and back to school again. This has left them disorganized and unmotivated to make any changes to being responsible with classroom materials. The shelves and storage bins will give the students a designated space to put their materials and make the classroom flow better. The prizes and rewards will be used to motivate students to use the storage space wisely. The computer mice will help them to more easily navigate their programs with fewer errors.
All kids these days need resources to better manage their tasks and improve the effectiveness of their resources, therefore reducing the emotional stressors of school. I see these items helping my students to be better prepared for junior high and learn proper study skills. I see them keeping up with assignments more frequently along with the improved quality of their work.
In the short amount of time I have known my students, I have been able to get to know them and see what their educational needs are. These supplies will help me to continue to reach ever-changing educational needs.
