For this project I am asking for donations to help purchase a "Friendly" loom for the WTMS art classroom. . A "Friendly" loom is a large-scale loom that allows for up to 8 students to work on projects at one time. It can be used to create a variety of art projects such as tapestries, blankets, or rugs. It can also be used as an engaging content-rich free time activity across several grade levels.
The purchase of a loom for my students will allow them to work collaboratively. Collaborative art projects are a great way to promote community in the art room and throughout the school. Students learn to appreciate each other's contributions and unique skills.
