Through the use of virtual reality, students will be able to explore the vastness of outer space or the ruins of ancient Greece. While the world is currently in array from Covid-19, these virtual reality devices will allow students to step out of the classroom and into an otherwise unreachable place. In 6th grade we will use them to have students visit and learn about locations in space, different habitats for animals, ancient cities, and much more.
The Oculus will allow students to find greater understanding in science, history, and language arts through hands on virtual experiences. Students who struggle to learn through other methods can find success when using a different form of engagement.
