We are working very diligently to fill in math computation learning gaps as a result of traditional learning time and/or instruction that was lost during the last two school years for many of our students.
The resources that I have requested will be used in small group math instruction to help students who are below grade level in their math computation skills based on the data from their Acadience math benchmark scores. Once the students have practiced with these materials, their progress will be monitored to see how their computation growth will be projected on the end of year Acadience math benchmark computation test.
The math materials that I have requested will support the skills that students may have missed when schools were not operational as they were before COVID. They will also provide more engaging activities that will not only support their basic foundational computation skills, but will also give them a fun, hands-on way of doing that. The more engaging we can make their learning, the more we will see them grow!
