Speaking and listening is an essential part of any foreign language classroom. In order for students to excel and truly develop a second or third language, they must be able to both listen and speak Spanish. Having students hear themselves, and others, allows their self-esteem to improve, while also getting the chance to practice these skills. Having headphones with microphones built in, will allow students the opportunity to meet both of these needs, and excel their language learning to new heights. Noise Canceling Microphone Headsets enable students to practice speaking and listening on their individual Chromebooks. Students can get immediate feedback during learning activities. Headphones with microphones are essential for testing. And, they also make lessons more easily heard, they create quieter classrooms for better learning, and they help students focus. Through this project as well, in these times of COVID they will not be isolated, rather, they will get the chance to speak Spanish to one another, and meet their needs of socializing which is extremely important at this age, while continuing their learning. I as a teacher will also get the chance to listen to my students, and give them constructive feedback.
