Having a 3D printer in our classroom will provide students with opportunities to visualize and interact with how molecules move and look around us. Students will be able to create designs and explain how their molecules are used in life. Currently in my class students are using pictures as forms of information to create organs and molecules. Being able to create these materials with the 3D printer and have students be able to see how these materials grow and change continually in a way that they can observe through touch and various angles is something my students have been asking for.
My students are more engaged and excited when they are provided with more interactive devices and models to learn and gain knowledge from, so this 3D printer will help my students be motivated to participate in our science class activities.
The 3D printer that I have selected is something that will help provide models for my students to be able to visualize the topics and make learning more effective. As we learn more about physics and music, we can create different forms of anatomical airways and describe why various frequencies and tones come out of each. This 3D printer can provide my students with more opportunities to seek out new ways of thinking about topics and then provide more ways to explore those topics.
