Many of our teachers have been able to teach through meaningful read alouds that show representation and reflect diverse cultures. It can be much more difficult to find and be able to afford books that are at students current reading levels. Providing diverse leveled readers allows students to access books at their reading level and provides an opportunity for meaningful and engagement as students engage in the act of reading. These books not only benefit students in kindergarten through third grade, but also benefit students who are reading below grade level.
