I chose books that help teach social emotional skills that my students need. They focus on working together, kindness, and resiliency. I also found many excellent books to add to our classroom library so students will have no problem choosing a book that is just right for them. Art DVDs will help add creativity to our learning, as well as give us topics to write about.
I chose wall posters that emphasize reading and math skills my students are struggling with. We will review telling time, place value, sight words, and many other skills with these posters.
Flexible seating options will help redirect extra energy so students can focus on their lessons. Having fidget bands, wobble chairs, and cushions will help them love being at school.
