These books and activities will be used to create hands-on, engaging learning opportunities for my students who are working hard to bounce back from the year of online learning. The activities will be used in literacy centers where students will work independently or with others to enhance their reading skills. The books will be used in my classroom library and during small groups to practice reading fluently and independently. The students will also use the books to earn AR points by reading the books independently and answering comprehension questions, paving the way for second grade!
These engaging activities will provide my students a chance to practice what they are learning on their own. These books will allow my students to read independently at their own level, increasing their confidence and desire to read more. The books and activities will help me meet my goal of creating strong, independent readers who believe in their ability. My students have shown great growth since the beginning of the year and these materials will help get them to the next level. My students have such a desire to learn and to become independent readers and these materials will help them reach their goals.
