STEM materials will give my Kindergarten students opportunities for Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication and Collaboration. Students show creativity as they build unique structures. They show critical thinking skills as they learn from mistakes or weaknesses in their structures. As students work together they learn collaboration and communication skills. Experiences with STEM building activities will help BUILD a strong Science, Technology, Engineering and Math foundation for my Kindergarten students. Skills in these areas are in high demand as students continue in their education and future careers. Best of all learning with STEM feels like play! My students will be given opportunities for both structured experiences and free exploration using the STEM materials.
