Inspiring students to problem solve, seek adventures, and create using their interests are the motivation behind the items I've selected. Whether it is car tracks, slinkies, or circuit kits, students are exploring collisions, energy transfer, waves, and creating Rube Golberg-like machines to solve problems and explore the world around them.
Students can also explore the world of science through literacy. Literacy is a way to bring ideas together, communicate scientific ideas, and inspire students to reach for more. Whether through fiction or non-fiction, students can seek knowledge and adventures meant to complement their learning.
I have also included book bins where students can individually collect books they are reading, want to read, and collections of books they are currently studying.
