I am requesting a power tool kit. I believe there is a big need to train students to work in the skills trade world. I see an increasingly smaller number of new students who enjoy and value the ability to use power tools to create, build and repair.
Cordless tools are the "NOW" of the skills trades world and students need to be proficient with all types. Old corded tools are difficult and boring to use and kids are not wanting to be engaged because of this. Having some fresh cordless tools will bring some excitement to my shop classes and give kids a jump start to create some great projects. We are currently building a "Tiny House" and these tools would make a huge difference for my carpentry class along with my Woods and Ag, Welding and Automotive classes.
