All my students have been affected by the COVID shutdowns, and having some extra phonics items in my classroom will help build their confidence in their reading abilities and help foster a love of reading on every level. There are students lacking basic phonics skills which will be greatly improved by these items. This will make school more enjoyable. I hope to be able to help every child master their personal goals related to reading in my classroom. Being a second-year teacher means my classroom is lacking things my struggling readers desperately need in order to improve their phonics skills.
