Covid-19 has been hard for all students this year. Many are tired and disengaged with all the online assignments, virtual labs, and nearpods. As a science teacher, I would like to bring more hands on activities to my students. Students learn better when they are interested in the activity and most lack hands on learning these past few years.
Some of the concepts are difficult for students to learn without models to examine and manipulate. Learning is more engaging when students are able to build and operate their own electric generator, maneuver plate tectonic boundaries, selectively breed fruit flies, and discover why bacteria become antibiotic resistant over time.
