My students learn best when they are able to touch and explore items. I have included math counting puzzles and games like the weighted scale for matching a number to the correct amount and counting puzzles. Students can practice their one to one counting with self correcting games and puzzles.
My school does an Oral Language Block where students talk and communicate with each other while they build, explore, create, and discover new things. The kinetic sand, blocks, dinosaurs, marble tower, and magnets will help students have a successful Oral Language Block and explore and communicate with one another while they explore new things.
I have also included books on our math content like the book about shapes and science like the book about animals that will further our knowledge of those content areas. I also have included books on social and emotional learning like "How Full is Your Bucket" and "What Would Danny Do" to help students grow and become more knowledgeable about their own emotions and choices.
