Having a carpeting can help the noise and lowers sound levels. When you have twenty-two students in the classroom, this can become important for the learning environment. It gives the students a place to sit other than being in their seats all day long. I am trying to make the classroom seating safer in the room. Right now we have a very small carpet in the classroom and we can only fit about 10 safely on the floor. During the winter it is very cold sitting just on the floor. It want my students feel warm and safe. Have more of a home feel to the room.
Reading to my little Kindergarten friends while they are always in their seats is so hard for them.
With having a bigger carpet in the room it can help move them around the room. Give them a little move room to move around to be able listen and have fun. They can use the carpet as a place if they need to take a moment to relax and take break or to use during free time.
