Students who are exposed to fewer germs and viruses will spend more time present at school learning and growing together, instead of in quarantine at home facing a screen. Currently 4 children face one another at one table. Additional tables will reduce the number of students sharing germs with each other and reduce the spread of the virus in our classroom.
Kindergarten children especially need the direction of a teacher present to help them learn and grow. They can't access lessons on a tablet or computer without help from an adult. Previous experience during the pandemic has shown me that few kindergarten students used online resources. Students just need to be present in the classroom with their teacher who wants to help them learn.
