With new books and story kits, my students will be able to enhance their exposure to literature. They will be able to use these books at our independent book time and also during our large group time. During our large group, they will be able to help tell the story through the kits with their peers. They will take turns using the items to tell the story. Using story kits in my classroom will help my students to continue learning literacy in light of COVID-19.
My students are very interested in learning more about science. With new science tools they will be able to explore more. They will be able to weigh items, explore magnets, explore color discovery tubes, use eyedroppers, and use binoculars. These items will be a part of a center in my classroom that the students will have access to during our play time. Having these science tools will help my students continue to learn science through play.
