These resources will help my students read firsthand accounts of what it was like to live during the Civil War and during Emancipation. Students will be able to understand these topics from the point of view of someone their own age! The books will be able to be taken home so that the students feel like they have some tangible connection to school if they are unable to attend class in person. The map and globe will provide better visuals to help them understand where things are in the world.
