Being one art teacher for over 600 kids, my resources can be exhausted quickly. Most of my art projects include mostly paper and recycled materials since there is not a financial budget for much else. I would like to give the students an opportunity to work with their hands and create something 3D. Last year through virtual learning, paper is all these kids had either at home or in the classroom. Now that they are finally back in the classroom, I would like to give them the opportunity to explore other aspects of art, particularly clay. Getting messy and working with their hands, will create a fun and exciting sensory journey for them that they will have a hard time forgetting. This project will give my students an opportunity to stretch their imagination and get to use materials that they most likely have never used before.
