Your contribution to our classroom will help motivate students to achieve a high reading level through a comfortable and welcoming library center. Currently, during our reading acceleration period, students read their books at their desk in the same hard chairs that they sit in all day. Your donations will create a comfortable environment that adds some diversity into their routine. Our school was damaged in Hurricane Ida this fall and many of my students' homes were impacted as well. I would love to build a cozy place for them at school to get lost in a book as student rotate their time through the library. My students are an eager bunch that truly look forward the time they get to read quietly each day. They choose physical books over the books available on some online programs we access. I would love to build this space for them.
