The story kits will be used to help my students learn vocabulary related to the targeted stories, learn how to rhyme, learn story sequences, story details, and use hands-on manipulatives to retell the stories. For example, the story "The 5 Little Ducks" can be used to teach my students numbers, predictive phrasing, words (duck, play, over, far away, along, quack, waddle), subtraction, and sequencing. The requested items will give my students the opportunity to use these items to increase receptive and expressive language, create opportunities for practice social language, social interactions, and give my English Language Learners visual examples of what we are talking about.
