I want to put a world atlas in the hands of each of my students as we learn where we actually are in the world and the other continents and oceans we have on our earth. When playfully asking my students what country was north of the United States, only a handful knew! Our kids are digitally proficient, but they aren't aware of the geography of our world. They can't point out continents or directions on a map. I will use these sources to teach this the old fashioned way--with an atlas at their desks.
