As a speech language pathologist, I work with a range of students from Preschool to 5th grade (67 students total). We work on speech (articulation, phonological processes) and language (grammar, reading comprehension, story retell, vocabulary, Who/what/where/when questions, categories, etc). The list is endless, therefore there is a variety of activities and resources needed to target all of these goals and help keep students engaged and eager to come to therapy, no matter what grade level.
New, exciting, and engaging materials will help keep my students motivated to come to therapy, ready to learn and improve on their various speech and language skills. A bean bag will help motivate them to come to their speech sessions and will be used as a reward for their hard work. Sensory toys will be used during articulation and language drills as well as rewards in our treasure box after coming to 10 sessions.
