Everything that I requested in this project will directly help my students learn in a more effective and fun way. Some of the items I requested were social stories and books that will help my students understand their emotions and how to deal with them in appropriate ways. These materials will not only help my students know how to regulate their emotions, but it will help our classroom run more smoothly and be a more positive environment for everyone. Not only will these resources help my students with their social-emotional well being, but they will also teach my students about math, reading, writing, speech, life skills, and fine motor skills. Some examples of the materials I chose to include in this project include nonfiction beginner books, sequencing cards, math manipulatives, shapes, sorting activities, sensory tools, and fine motor activities. As a first year teacher, I do not have many resources to teach my students these skills, so this project will be a life changer for all of us in the classroom.
