My students are learning the process of working and being independent. They have completed a job application and interview process, including dressing appropriately and answering interview questions. The name of our business is Roosevelt Shred Co. Students place a bin next to the mailroom and complete shredding for teachers. Currently, we have two shredders. I would like to purchase three more. Frequently, we get large jobs and get backed up. I would like to teach a lesson on efficiency and adding more shredders would be the perfect point of emphasis. My students also earn a paycheck in the form of a pizza party once a month.
