These books and supplies provide my special education students with more opportunities to grow as readers and writers. Every day, we focus on developing reading fluency, comprehension, and basic writing skills. Many of my students are unable to provide their own basic supplies like notebooks and folders. By providing books targeted to my students' interests and reading levels, my students can overcome reading challenges and develop a love of reading. These books appeal to a variety of students and include books about sports, graphic novels, books about overcoming hardships, books featuring diversity, class sets for shared readings, and beloved teen and young adult classic novels.
