As a first year teacher my classroom library has a lot of room to grow. I want to be able to provide my students with as many reading options as possible; they deserve to pick something that meets both their interest and literacy levels. I want to not only provide novels that meet different interests but also novels that contain many different writing styles and formats which is why this projects contains graphic novels. Being able to organize one's belongings in a classroom is also very important to a productive learning environment. That is why I added storage drawers to this project so that all of my students have a place to store their supplies or whatever books they are currently reading. The drawers will also help us keep our classroom safely organized and our desks apart in order to maintain social distancing.
